Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the Notification for the Conducting of 69th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Exam 2023. Total Vacancy: 346 +96+32 = 475.

Vacancy Details

Nationality

• Eligibility for BPSC posts requires candidates to be Indian nationals.
• Candidates must possess necessary documents to prove their citizenship.
• Permanent residents are eligible, but they need to submit relevant government-issued documents for verification.

Qualification

Applicants are required to possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent qualification.

Physical Standards 

Age Limit (as on 01-08-2023)

• Minimum Age Limit: 20, 21 & 22 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for UR Male: 37 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for UR Female, BC & EBC: 40 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for SC & ST: 42 Years
• Age Relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Application Fee

• For Gen/ Other: Rs.600/-
• For SC/ ST/ PWD & Women of Bihar State: Rs. 150/-
• Payment Mode: Offline/ Online

Selection Procedure

• Selection process: Prelims, Main, and Interview rounds.

Details of the Test

Prelims:

• 150 questions from required disciplines.
• Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer, 1 mark for each correct answer.
• Multiple-choice format.
• No scoring for unanswered questions.

Mains:

• Three required courses and one optional subject.
• Individual papers totaling 1000 marks.
• Three hours allotted for each paper.
• Negative marking in multiple-choice style questions.

The mode of application will be online. Candidates are required to login through the official portal of BPSC i.e. https://bpsc.bih.nic.in/Application.htm.

1. Registration:
   • Register using email ID and phone number.
2. Login Details:
   • Note down provided username and password after registration.
3. Fee Payment:
   • Pay the application fees the day after registration to enable form filling.
4. Form Submission:
   • Fill in required details and submit the application form.
5. Document Upload:
   • Upload scanned copies of necessary documents.
6. Reservation Category:
   • If applying under a reserved category, provide relevant documents.
7. Signatures and Pictures:
   • Upload scanned signatures and pictures in Hindi and English.
8. Review and Submission:
   • Re-login to the website to download the completed application form after submission.
