The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification for organizing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 21-01-2024 (Sunday). The test will be conducted in twenty languages in 135 cities all over the country.

Age Limit
Minimum age requirement is 18 years, and there are no restrictions on the upper age limit for applying to the CTET 2024.
Application Fee
- For General/ OBC (NCL) (Only Paper I or II): Rs. 1000/-
- For General/ OBC (NCL) (Both Paper I & II): Rs. 1200/-
- For SC/ ST/ Differently Abled Person (Only Paper I or II): Rs. 500/
- For SC/ ST/ Differently Abled Person (Both Paper I & II): Rs. 600/-
- Payment Mode: Through Online-mode (Payment by Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking)
Details of the Test
CTET questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options; each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking.
There will be two papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Main question paper shall be Bilingual (Hindi/English).

Application Procedure
Candidates can apply for CTET– JANUARY 2024 “ON-LINE” through the CTET website (https://ctet.nic.in) from 03.11.2023 to 23.11.2023 (before 11:59 PM).
The candidate applying for CTET is required to:
- Carefully read the Information Bulletin for all requirements.
- Ensure eligibility before applying for the examination.
- Submit the online application on the CTET official website with complete details.
- Provide a complete mailing address with the Postal PIN Code during application.
- Decide the mode of fee payment before submitting the application form.
- Retain the Confirmation Page for future reference.
- Avoid submitting multiple online applications to prevent cancellation of candidature and potential debarment from future examinations. No communication will be sent regarding such cases.
