The Indian Air Force has released a recruitment notification for AFCAT (02/2024) for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches, as well as NCC Special Entry for courses starting in July 2025.

Total vacancy for this post is 304.

Qualification

• Candidates need a minimum of 50% marks in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
• Required qualifications include Graduation in any discipline, BE/BTech degree, or equivalent.
• Candidates who have cleared Section A & B exams of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India are eligible.
• Relevant Degree or Postgraduate Degree holders can also apply.

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025)

For Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry:

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years
• Candidates born between 02 July 1999 and 01 July 2005 are eligible.

For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch:

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 26 years
• Candidates born between 02 July 1999 and 01 July 2005 are eligible

• Aadhaar Card is mandatory for online registration.

• Pay on Commissioning (as per 7th CPC) for a Flying Officer is Rs. 56100 – 177500 as per the Defence Matrix Level 10.
• Military Service Pay (MSP) for a Flying Officer is Rs. 15500.
