National Bank For Agriculture And Rural Development, NABARD, has released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Managers (Grade A) and Managers (Grade B) in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS). Falling in line with several other competitive exams, NABARD recruitment exam will now be conducted in online mode (computer based). While the exam pattern will still contain 2 phases of written exams, followed by an interview, the structure of the written exams has also been modified.

Eligibility Criteria – Age
The cut-off date for calculating age is 31 January 2016. On this day, your age should be within the following limits (general category), For Assistant Manager – 21 to 30 years For Manager – 25 to 35 years The relaxations in the upper age limit will be provided to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/ExServicemen/other eligible candidates as per GoI instructions.
Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification
The NABARD notification has written the required educational qualification in several ways. But all of them basically boil down to the following: For Assistant Manager – You need a Bachelor’s degree (any) with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade, in the aggregate of all semesters / years. For Managers – You need a first class Master’s degree (any) with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade, in the aggregate of all semesters / years
Cut-off Date For Educational Qualification
Not only do you need the qualifications as mentioned above, you also need to have them as on 31 January 2016. What this means is that you should have appeared for the final exam of your qualifying degree AND the results should have been announced ON OR BEFORE 31 January 2016.

NABARD Exam Pattern
Keeping in mind the important changes which have been announced, I will cover the exam pattern in detail in the next post. To give an overview, there will a two phases of written exam followed by an interview. Phase 1 written exam will be for screening (marks obtained will not be counted in final selection). Those who qualify Phase 1, appear for Phase 2. Candidates who are successful in Phase 2 will be called for interview. The final selection will be based on the total marks obtained in Phase 2 and interview.
Application Fees
The application fee for Assistant Manager and Manager posts is Rs. 750 and Rs. 850 respectively. For SC/ST/PWD categories the fee is Rs. 100. If you want to apply for both the posts, you will have to pay fees for both the posts. I know. It sucks!
Application Procedure
You need to go to the Bank’s website www.nabard.org and register for the exam. Keep your scanned photograph and image ready. You also need to have a mobile number and email before you can apply.
