Hi Folks. The second round of NDA exam notification has been announced for the year 2016.
If joining the Indian Defence Services has been your dream, then it is the right time to start working towards making it come true. UPSC has made announcement for admissions in the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy. Here is the NDA Examination 2016 Notification (second call) and other details :
Number of Posts
There are a total of 355 posts in National Defence Academy. Out of 355 posts, 208 are reserved for Army, 55 in Navy and 92 in Air Force. In Naval Academy there are 55 seats. Please keep in mind that this division of seats is tentative.
1. For Army: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or a university.
2. For Air Force and Naval Academy: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
If you are appearing for class 12th exam in 2016, you can still apply for NDA Examination (II) 2016.
Age Limit, Marital Status and Gender
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd January 1998 and not later than 01st January 2001 are eligible.
A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical Board.
The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air Force)

Candiates (except SC/ST/ Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs ) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100 either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card. .
The selection procedure for NDA Examination (II) 2016 is a two staged process. First stage comprises of a written objective based question round in which you will be gauged on Mathematics and General Ability. Follow this link to see the syllabus for the NDA exam. Those of you who will clear the written examination will be called Stage II.
The Stage II of the selection procedure involves Psychological Aptitude Test, Intelligence Test and Medical Check-up. If you qualify in stage II, you will be required to submit the original Certificates along with one photocopy each of :
- Original Matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date of birth.
- Original 10+2 pass certificate pass certificate or equivalent in support of educational qualification.

- The question paper would be set both in English and Hindi.
- There will also be negative marking for wrong answers marked by you.
