New India Assurance has invited applications for the post of Assistant (Class III cadre) for the year 2017. Here we bring you the Notification, Eligibility Criteria, Age and Syllabus of New India Assurance Assistant Exam.
New India Assurance company is one of the five wholly government of India owned companies in the assurance sector. It was founded in 1919 by Sir Darabji Tata. It was nationalized in 1973. Previously NIA was a subsidiary of the GIC or General Insurance Company. It got its autonomy along with United India Insurance, National Insurance and Oriental Insurance when GIC was re-insured. The present CMD of the company is G. Srinivasan. It deals with products of general Insurance which includes Health.
New India Assurance has brought forth the notification for recruitment of 984 Assistant. Below is the bifurcation of vacancies according to categories.
1. Gen: 533 Posts
2. OBC: 235 Posts (07-Backlog vacancies)
3. SC: 140 Posts
4. ST: 76 Posts (01-Backlog vacancy)
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university/ equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government, should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/ HSC/ Intermediate/ Graduation level, knowledge of Regional Language of State of Recruitment, Proficiency in the Regional Language of the State/ UT.

All of you who are eligible (please refer to the eligibility criteria given above) and have applied would have to go through an online test which would be of objective type. The tentative dates for conducting the test are 22nd and 23rd April 2017.

2. Other than SC/STIPWD/EX·SER/Females – RS.500/·(Application fee including Intimation Charges)
Application fee is Payable from 06.03.2017 to 29.03.2017 (both dates inclusive)
Selection Procedure
The selection process will consist of on-line test (Preliminary & Main Examination). Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will be further shortlisted for Regional Language test before the final selection.

ii. Emoluments: Total emoluments works out to approximately RS.23000/-per month in the initial stage in a metro city. Other Allowance may vary depending upon the place of posting. Apart from allowances other benefits such as lump sum domiciliary medical benefit, membership of Group Mediclaim Policy for Reimbursement of hospitalisation expenses, leave travel subsidy and other staff welfare schemes would be as per the rules of the Company.

Is there any provision of declaration fr candidate nt hvng specialization certificate in case of MBA finance??

No. As the notification says – “MBA Finance candidates must furnish certificate from university confirming their specialization in finance at the time of interview, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.“
