Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Tamil Nadu has announced the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (2024) for the recruitment of Assistant Professors.

Qualification

• Candidates should possess a Master’s degree or its equivalent.

Age Limit

• There is no upper age limit for applying to TNSET.

Application Fee

• For General Candidates: Rs. 2500/-
• For BC/MBC/DNC Candidates: Rs. 2000/-
• For SC/ST/SC(A)/PwD ( VI, HI, PH ) Candidates: Rs. 800/-
• For Third Gender: No Fee
• Payment Mode: Through Net Banking/ Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI

Application Procedure

• Candidates must carefully read the Instructions in the Information Bulletin on the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Website, including guidance on filling out the Application Form online.
• Failure to comply with the Instructions will lead to disqualification.
• TNSET 2024 applications are accepted only through the “Online” mode.
• Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.

Test Details

• TNSET follows UGC-NET’s pattern with two papers: Paper I (common to all) and Paper II (based on chosen PG subject).
• Both papers are in CBT mode with no breaks.
• The syllabus is same as UGC-NET/CSIR-NET.
• Question Paper is in English, except for Paper II in language subjects.
• No negative marking for wrong answers.
