- Paper-I: General Studies and Engineering Aptitude (2 hours, 200 marks)
- Paper-II: Civil Engineering (3 hours, 300 marks)

Category-II: Mechanical Engineering
- Paper-I: General Studies and Engineering Aptitude (2 hours, 200 marks)

Category-III: Electrical Engineering

Note: The eligibility of transgender individuals for AEE (Civil) and AEE (Electrical and Mechanical) in Border Road Engineering Service shall be as per the decision taken by the Government in due course.
