OICL has descriptive test. Also the exam has negative marking. So do not bluff, keeping negative marking into consideration.

OICL AO Exam Details For Generalist

Irrespective of the exam, it has maximum total marks of 200, inclusive of Objective and Descriptive.

Only those candidates who qualify in online examination will be called for interview based on their overall marks combining objective and descriptive tests.(out of 200)

Quantitative Aptitude

In recent exams, quantitative aptitude has emerged as tough section (Read how to prepare for quantitative aptitude). Practice calculative and arithmetic questions more. Improve on your basic calculation speed such as multiplication, tables, squares, cubes, square roots. Do not ignore DI section. Get well versed with different DI questions.

Reasoning

Seating arrangements and puzzles seems to be confusing at times. But with practice they can be easy. Syllogisms, coding-decoding, input-output are expected as standard questions. Practice will help you mange your time and concentration and as a result score more in this section.

English

English can be tricky at times. But if you have good command over grammar, then you can score more in this section. Cloze test and comprehensions will help you score more marks. Sentence correction can be difficult, so practice it regularly – Check out our detailed series on sentence correction. Also practice vocab on regular basis.

General Awareness

For general awareness, visit our study section. There you will find related topics to be studied for GA.
