Volcanoes: The eruption of molten material from the interior of the earth through vents is known as Volcano. Volcanic activity is mostly observed along the Zone of Convergence i.e where the tectonic plates converge into each other. These are usually weak zones due to faulting and folding (resulting in mountain formation) can be observed. This is supported by the presence of active volcanoes along the circum-Pacific region popularly Known as “pacific Ring of fire”. It is the home to almost 2/3rd of the world’s volcanoes.
